The Terms of Service

Never thought I'd be the one to tell everyone about the Terms of Service...

Hey, guys. It's Dusty. And unfortunately, I'm not here to bore you guys to death with another chat about an MMORPG or to give you guys an update about Maradice Isle or Bella's Mansion. No, instead, I'm here to lecture you about the Bulldozer Studios Terms of Service ( ToS ).

The ToS is a list of rules and regulations that allows our moderators to protect our projects, website, staff and users from potentially malicious people or misdeeds, including, but not limited to: Hacking, Illegal Reproduction, Harassment, and otherwise illegal activities.

A Terms of Service violation occurs when a user does something that violates one of the rules listed under the ToS on the "Terms" page of our website.

Even though our projects are free, you can get in serious trouble for violating the Terms of Service.

- You can be sued.

- You can be found liable for monetary damages.

- You can be held responsible for damages done to property or person as a result of your actions.

- Or worse... you can lose your legal rights to ALL of our products and content!!

You'll only get a few chances! If we receive a valid notification of a Terms of Service violation from one of our users or moderators, the offending party will be sanctioned in accordance with both the Terms and the law.

You'll be notified via e-mail ( when applicable ) and in your account on whatever website it was that you violated the Terms on via an automated message from our homepage, and you'll get a strike.

If we find your a repeat offender, YOU'LL GET BANNED FOR LIFE!!

Now, now. It's not all doom and gloom. There are ways to enjoy our projects and products without going against the Terms. For example, if you REALLY want to use our characters in one of your projects, you can contact us and request a license to use our characters. Just remember to put "Character License" in the subject of your message!

If you think you've been wrongly sanctioned by one of our moderators, there IS a counter-notification process for that. You can send us an appeal stating that there was a problem or a misunderstanding.

But be careful! Misusing the process could land you in court, or increase the length of time of your punishment! That's how the rules work!

So, do you guys see now why the Terms are taken so seriously? If we didn't have the Terms of Service, we'd be living in fear of our projects being misused by what we call "BattleGamers". And believe me: NOBODY WANTS TO BE A BATTLEGAMER!!

I hope this sheds some new light on the subject of our ToS, and how they're enforced. The next post from our blog will be much more light-hearted, I promise.
